　一杯 5ペソ(10円)の生ジュースが飛ぶように売れる。
　左がパイナップル、右がココナッツ。加糖してなくて、あっさり味。チンチンに氷で冷えていて、美味しい。

　空港から町へのアプローチは長閑な昔のプエルトプリンセサ(パラワン)の郊外を思い出させた。驚いたのは、賑やかな町にチャーミングな女性がたくさん歩いていたことだった。
　ジュースを飲む彼女は弟にエスコートされていた、かなりの美人。

　トライシクルのドライバー野郎たち。

　土曜日午後の町の中心街。
　国中でここが一番多いというトライシクルのほか、ジープニー、自家用車、そしてカレッサが渾然となって走る。

　毎日曜日は朝からごった返すのだという。
　交通整理人がたくさん立つ、聖ピーター大聖堂前の通り。

　カレッサは状況により、けっこう速く通行する。
　乗るのは女子(中学生?)が少なくない。
　中心街はどの通りも落ちてはいないけれど、馬糞が臭う。

　午前9時台にして気温は 40度を超えた、という人もいるが定かではない。
　フィリピン現代史のなかで最高気温を観測した町のもと、排気ガスのせいで不快感が増す。

　ただし、旅行者にとって、町の居心地はとてもよろしい。

　ボクはずいぶん前から次のサイトを読み重ねて参考にしていた。
　8〜9年前の情報が役に立った。
