大変に、読んで楽しい。

例えば、マニラのエルミタ地区に部屋を借りての研究や、

北ルソン、バナウェへの小旅行による採集とか。

ボクが初めて渡比するより少し前の 1980年のことだから、

気が遠くなることではあるが。

ハエの仲間のブユ、その一部は、

野生のほ乳類や家畜の体内に寄生する糸状虫(しじょうちゅう)を

ヒトなどにうつす。

例を挙げると、フィラリアは、イヌ糸状虫の一種である。

ブユは、流水や清流が発生源で、珍しい虫ではない。

ボクの場合は、毎年の初夏の山歩きで、多かれ少なかれ、

刺されて、痛痒くなる。
