マウンテン州 10郡で一番人口の多い自治体。22村あるのも州で最多。
サガダ郡の南隣で交通の要所。
バウコには、ポリス山を含め、7つの峰があるという。
ツーリズムビデオでは最後のほうで写る夜景にみせた景色は
"モガオ山 と グワアン池"と似て、紛らわしい。
