ウシ科 Bovidae

ドクマイ・ガーデンで飼っている水牛。

インドスイギュウの子なのか，アジアスイギュウとの雑種かよく分らない。

「毛深いCarabaoだね!」と言ったら，エリックが「このバッファローのこと?」と反応しただけだったので，なんだ，ロックバンドには興味がないのか...と分ったのだった。(オーナー園長のエリックはスウェーデン人)

実際，Carabaoがどこの国の言葉であれ，"水牛"を意味することは，有名バンドのおかげで，チェンマイの人々も知っている。

　泰・比の混成バンド，6枚目のアルバムのA面最後のトラック。よく流行った曲だ。

　たとえば，My Sharona (1979)から5年ほど後の録音。時代を表しているのだろうと思う，これはこれで。

　"カラバオ"は，フィリピンの言葉で "水牛"を意味する。

　手元にはおそらく6,7本のカセット・テープが残っていたりするが，タイ語が全く読めないので，これより詳しくは紹介することが出来ない。
