奇天烈なホームステイ

ボクーアの村はずれに、三年のあいだにオープンしたホテル。

木造にこだわった現代アート風の建築で人気らしい。

ボクが泊まったホームステイの近くにあった。

セブンイレブンが建った(!!) 村の中心まで徒歩15分、

Bokluea View Innまで 20分ちょっとかかる。

自分は、Bokluea View Innが満室だったため、そこにいた。

キャンピング・サイトのオーナーが、個人で組んだ櫓からの眺め。

右下の谷にボクーアの中心街が隠れている。

北に縫うようにマン川谷をのぼると、

やがて(今度は北に流れる)ナーン川を見送って、ファイコーンに至る。

His art work for Traffic's 1971 album The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys and Steve Winwood's 1980 Arc of a Diver were listed amongst Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Album Covers. The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys cover is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
